About

I’ve worked in public relations for one of South Australia’s largest aged care providers, market the biggest arts Festival in Australia, facilitate an audience development program for young people under 30, move to Darwin for the premier dry season event and now live in Byron Bay working as a publicist for some of the country’s best independent artists.

A road trip down the Australian east coast in 2010 (check out our blog at Hotel Delica) has meant that we now call Byron  home and I’ve taken up residence at AUM PR & Creative, a position which allows me to unleash my project management and organisational skills onto the wider population.

I’ve used many CMS systems from Ruby on Rails to Joomla, Dreamweaver to the out of the box style. These days I point everyone to wordpress for the most user-friendly CMS out there. I say if you can use word, then you can wordpress. I know that wordpress, for all it’s thousands of themes will never take over from beautiful web design. On the other hand I know that for the 90% of websites in the world that it is incredibly versatile and looks slick. It also puts the control into the hands of the client.

When I’m not playing roller derby for The Bay Rollers, I do freelance wordpress customisation, great for small-medium businesses and artistic types at very reasonable rates.

Websites I’ve customised lately:
aum.net.au
spaceforhealing.net.au
psychologyandthebody.net.au
